We are very excited that you’re interested in being a part of the Sonlight worship team at Community Church of Seattle.
If God has gifted you with musical talent or movement (dance) creativity, we want you to be able to use it for His glory!

Basic Requirements

To be eligible for the SonLight worship team, you must consider Community Church of Seattle (Hyungjae) to be your home church, and have attended regularly for a minimum of 3 months.

You should be in agreement with our theological standings and our vision and values. We are looking for trustworthy, team-minded people who will take the commitment seriously.  Maintaining a humble, teachable attitude is very important.  The worship team is not a platform for showcasing individual talents, but a place of service to the congregation.

  • Must be active (attending) member of Community Church of Seattle

  • Current 4th and 5th grade (school grade, not age) and up

  • Committed to serve in the Sonlight's Worship Team for one academic year

Time Commitment

We currently provide worship for two services on Sundays. There are also times during the year when we have extra meetings such as: revivals, worship nights, special guest services, and Easter and Christmas Productions where our services are required.

The time requirement for worship team members are mandatory weekly Thursday night rehearsals* (6:30-8:30pm) and Sunday services (9:40am or 11:30am). All team members are expected to sit through one entire service on Sundays.

PLEASE NOTE:
All worship team members will be required to serve during our VBS Season*

The time requirement during the months April - June will be different. There will be mandatory weekly Thursday night rehearsals* (ex. 6:15pm-8:15pm), Saturday morning rehearsals* (ex. 9:00am-12:00pm) and Sunday services (ex. 9:30am or 11:30am). Worship team MUST come to attending Sunday services 15 mins prior to when service begins).
